Ina Garten has been an acclaimed American cookbook author over the seasons. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002. Ina started her career creating nuclear energy policies as well as budgets to the White House. While she initially found the work interesting, she soon stopped her interest. Then she bought a Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food shop. The store was a success for 18 years. the business extremely profitable before selling it off before acquiring a pen and writing her first cookbook. Numerous different cookbooks and magazines followed. She also appeared on the Food Network TV show also made its debut which was an enormous hit. She also sells a range of product from cooking ingredients as well as storage containers and equipment. Ina never went to a cookery school nor did she work in a restaurant. She is entirely self-taught. Her name is ascribed to her easy style of cooking as well as her easy entertaining.
